The Story
Standing alone on a train platform on the outskirts of Melbourne, in the midst of a furnace-like Australian summer, the genesis of this project was formed waiting for a train. Tears streamed as I fully visualized what would be, what could be, if only. The mechanics, the music, the twisted, thorn filled, craggy, wonderful road that lay beyond was as yet unknown to me. Years have passed as this, my forever dream, approaches it's culmination.
I'm just a tennis pro. Lofty dreams of professional tennis success have long since abated. The realities of life, it's meaning, and lessons learned along the way, are all that remain. My hopes rest with you, the listener, with whom I now share my words, my music, my soul, and perhaps even a little inspiration.

Bio
dA is a Canadian artist, musician, coach, teacher who has lived, worked, loved, failed, and succeeded on three continents, in as many languages.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, presently residing in Ontario's Near North, dA's music, written and performed on Piano, is influenced by, and draws inspiration from the likes of Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles.
At times introspective and melancholy, other times vintage, ever thoughtful, dA's blend of Blues, Folk, and Canadiana channel the main themes in life: Love, Longing, Doubt, Death, Motivation, and Fulfillment are all present. The dark, the light, the soft, the unyielding, and the absurd appear at unexpected intervals.
Stripped down and organic, produced by Amy King at the Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton, Ontario, join dA for a journey through the soul. LP's: Melancholy Interlude and Change your World are complimented by EP's: Sleepless Winter Night and Start With Love. All to be released in 2020.
